Crypto Hacks Surged to $92.5M in April 2025: Immunefi
The crypto industry suffered $92.5 million in losses from 15 separate hacks in April 2025, a 27.3% increase from the same period last year. Year-to-date losses now total $1.74 billion, surpassing 2024’s full-year figure of $1.49 billion.
April’s losses more than doubled March’s $41.4 million tally. Two major incidents accounted for the bulk of the damage, though Immunefi’s report did not disclose specific projects or exchanges affected.
The security platform noted a fourfold increase compared to April 2024’s $420 million in losses. This acceleration comes despite heightened industry focus on security measures following 2024’s record breach levels.
